Le Triomphe Golf Club
Lafayette, LA
Located in the Acadian countryside between Lafayette and New Iberia, Louisiana, Le Triomphe Golf Club and Residential Community features an 18-hole championship golf course surrounded by single family residential homes. The main architectural elements, a French chateau-styled clubhouse, and a reproduction of Paris’s Arch de Triomphe continue the developmental theme of a community set within the French Countryside.
Moore Planning Group, LLC (MPG) created a landscape design that strengthened the theme of the French countryside. Working together, a design team of architects, engineers, golf course architect Robert Trent Jones, Jr., and MPG transformed a 400-acre sugar cane field into this unique and successful development.
Moore Planning Group's responsibilities included design and construction documents for all site amenities within the development’s entrance to the clubhouse and boulevard parkway. Challenges included the preservation of 100-year-old live oak trees and the design of the development’s swimming pool, tennis facility, and entertainment courtyards.
Le Triomphe Golf Club and Residential Community provides a calm, pastoral retreat in a rural landscape setting, and is an excellent example of a successfully planned collaboration between many design professionals.
