In 1991 the CEO of Fibrebond Corporation, Inc. of Minden, Louisiana contracted Moore Planning Group, LLC (MPG) to assist his 385-employee company in an overall master plan for their new headquarters building and operations expansions. Faced with difficult site conditions, a tight construction schedule, and an outdated corporate image, Fibrebond stopped construction until the landscape architect team performed their analysis and initial site plan concepts for this 94-acre rural setting. The analysis addressed delivery and operations traffic, company security issues, poor site drainage and employee circulation between buildings. The initial concepts recommended the revision of current plans and relocation of several key buildings to more suitable and efficient sites on campus. The site analysis also revealed other potentials such as the use of a low-lying area at the main entry to the plant to become a storm water retention basin to serve as an offset to erosion and an entry focal water feature.

The site plan was developed for long-term growth potentials within the existing campus while preserving the woodlands and incorporating employee exercise areas throughout. As a national company it was imperative that specific areas and elements were designed to solidify a unified corporate image and provide an efficient working environment. This included items such as signage, benches, fencing, courtyards, light fixtures, and extensive landscaping, all within this working industrial campus.
