For the past 25 years, Moore Planning Group, LLC has focused on helping communities throughout Louisiana and the Southeast plan and implement quality growth. Today, over 14 cities, towns and parishes trust MPG with their planning and enhancement needs. Over the last five years MPG has helped these communities secure and administer over $40 million dollars of outside funding for quality of life, infrastructure, and development enhancements. MPG helps build relationships between the client and government agencies or private funders in order to implement some of these quality-of-life improvements.

An example of how one city has obtained funding through their relationship with MPG is the Crowley neighborhood revitalization (see West Crowley Neighborhood Revitalization Master Plan). The city was seeking assistance from Louisiana Housing Finance Agency, but needed a revitalization plan. After MPG developed a master plan for the city, Crowley was able to utilize the master plan to seek the LHFA and other funding.

Another example of MPG’s work assisting clients in finding, qualifying and applying for funding is the firm’s work with TEA-21. MPG has promoted and demonstrated the opportunities that TEA-21 federal support offers. Patrick Moore has offered informational series on case studies, how to get a TEA-21 proposal approved, and implementation procedures. Mr. Moore’s understanding of the process and background of ISTEA and TEA-21, has given his firm the knowledge to step forward and make a difference by assisting various public entities to obtain Federal TEA-21 grants.
