Alexandria and Baton Rouge, La. - Environmental Resources Management (ERM), a leading global provider of environmental, health and safety, risk, and social consulting services and Moore Planning Group (MPG), a Louisiana-based landscape architecture and planning firm have announced a progressive new partnership.
ERM and a core group of MPG professional staff have created an additional ERM Center of Excellence with offices located in Alexandria and Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where MPG is based and where both companies have established clients. This ERM Center of Excellence for Planning and Strategic Implementation (CEPSI) will continue to serve MPG’s existing client base and ERM’s Southern Division clients, with expansion anticipated to support ERM’s 137 offices located in 39 countries.
At the December 8 announcement in Baton Rouge, Lieutenant Governor Jay Dardenne said that ERM’s decision to merge with MPG “solidifies their commitment to Louisiana.” ERM has had offices in Baton Rouge and New Orleans for about 30 years, and now adds a new office in Alexandria. CEPSI’s suite of services will include all services previously offered by both companies, as well as sustainable site planning for a range of clients, including government, and the petrochemical and manufacturing sectors.
ERM and MPG have teamed on multiple corporate, industrial and municipal projects since 2007. The new partnership significantly strengthens ERM’s capabilities to provide comprehensive community planning, landscape architecture and strategic implementation services, and enables MPG to significantly broaden its impact and geographic scope.
ERM’s Managing Director for the Southern Division U.S., Rick Smith heralded the announcement, saying, “With the MPG team joining us, we can deliver an innovative approach to planning to multinational clients who demand high quality and seamless delivery. ERM and MPG have already worked together on major projects in the U.S. and South America; our core values, symbiotic relationship, and passion for progressing sustainability made this a win-win-win, for ERM, MPG, and the clientele of both organizations.”
Patrick Moore, MPG’s Managing Principal, has joined as a Partner with ERM and will serve as ERM’s U.S. Southern Division Planning Leader. Moore expressed his enthusiasm for the new partnership, saying, “We thank our family of clients who we will continue to serve and our team is very excited by this opportunity to expand our ‘fusion of science and soul’ planning to a global scale. We are thrilled with the opportunity to share our expertise on improving quality of life and sparking economic development through thoughtful, sustainable planning. To have an international planning venue announced in Louisiana, I believe, reflects the energy and long-term commitment to this region.”
