City of Ridgeland approves Master Plan

The City of Ridgeland, Mississippi recently approved a Master Plan for its community that was created by Moore Planning Group.

Ridgeland's Board of Aldermen recently unanimously approved the Ridgeland Area Master Plan, which outlines specific goals for the city's growth. More than 300 residents participated in community sessions to offer input on the plan. In addition to residents, other stakeholders attended these sessions including local developers, bankers and students. The plan focuses on seven key areas within the city. MPG was asked to create projects, programs and policies in those seven areas that would enhance growth.

"The Moore Planning Group has provided the City with an excellent plan that responds to the goals of the community and incorporates innovative concepts that will improve the quality of life in our City for years to come," said Susan Haltom, chair of Ridgeland's Master Plan Steering Committee.
