The City of Plaquemine and Moore Planning Group, LLC were recently honored by the Louisiana Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects for the design and implementation of the Bayou Plaquemine Waterfront.
Plaquemine and MPG received a Merit Award for Bayou Plaquemine Waterfront at the 24th Annual Professional Design Awards Program at the annual meeting of the La. ASLA Chapter on Feb. 23 in Lafayette.
The park is located on more than four acres within the Plaquemine Historic District. Phase II and III of Bayou Plaquemine Waterfront were designed by MPG. Phase II included a pavilion, overlook, parking and landscaping. Phase III will include the development of open plaza space, meeting rooms, parking and the conversion of a vacant building into a multi-purpose pavilion.
